Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information HIPE.BIO processes, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Who is responsible

HIPE.BIO, currently operating as a closed beta, controls the personal data processed to provide the page-building and profile-publishing service described in this policy.

The official privacy and data-subject request channel is our contact page or contact@hipe.bio. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, display name, username, and profile image.
  • Creator content: pages, settings, links, text, media, product selections, and SEO information.
  • Billing data: Stripe customer, checkout, product, and subscription identifiers. Complete card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by HIPE.BIO.
  • Usage data: page views, likes, template interactions, browser storage identifiers, timestamps, and security or diagnostic records.
  • Contact data: the name, email address, topic, and message you submit through the contact page.

3. How we use information

  • Create and secure accounts.
  • Save, publish, and deliver creator pages and media.
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, and billing support.
  • Measure page and template activity.
  • Respond to support, privacy, abuse, and legal requests.
  • Prevent fraud, spam, misuse, and security incidents.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Public information

Pages you publish are publicly accessible and may include your username, display name, image, links, content, and view or like counts. Search engines and third parties may copy or index public information. Use page privacy and indexing settings before publishing information you do not want public.

5. Service providers and sharing

We use providers that process information on our behalf, including:

  • Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure.
  • Vercel for application hosting and delivery.
  • Cloudflare R2 for uploaded media storage and delivery.
  • Stripe for payment and subscription processing.
  • Media platforms selected by creators, such as YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, TikTok, Dailymotion, and Streamable, when embedded content is loaded.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Retention

We retain account and creator data while the account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service. Billing, fraud-prevention, audit, and legal records may be retained longer where required. Deleted data may remain temporarily in backups before scheduled removal.

Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support history, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Profile and page information can be edited from the dashboard. You can permanently delete your account and associated content from account settings. Other requests can be submitted through the contact page. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Security and international processing

We use access controls, restricted database permissions, encrypted connections, rate limits, and provider security controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, transfers are handled under contractual or legal safeguards offered by those providers.

9. Children

HIPE.BIO is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to the processing of their data. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child submitted personal data without appropriate authorization.

10. Cookies and changes

Our use of cookies and browser storage is described in the Cookie Policy.

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. Material updates will be communicated through the service when reasonably practical.
